15 Tips for Blade & Soul Beginners

1. You will be teleported out of the instance if you leave the team or the team is dismissed. Leave the team until your teammates finish the quest (some quests need to be completed in the instance).

2. There are two kinds of doboks in Blade & Soul, neutral dobok and faction dobok. The difference between these two doboks is there are 5 seconds loading time when players take off faction dobok while neutral dobok can be took off directly. If you don’t want to be killed, check whether you wear a faction dobok or not.

3. In Blade & Soul, there are not too many places where monsters respawn and loot. Stay at the loot place when there are a lot of players in OBT. You can fast upgrade and walk ahead of the team or take your time and walk behind your team.

4. Wild Boss (such as All Souls Zombie, Golden Destroyer, Desert Scorpion, Hei Tianzhao, Heiqi General) will drop essence after being killed. Essence can be used in roulette to exchange trigram weapons and doboks.

5. If the items loot by monsters is not suitable for you, give them to your teammates or sell them.

6. Trigram cannot be composed by materials with low quality. Try to compose with materials of high stats. You can get the powder for composing by decomposing trigram. There’s a small chance to get the synthesizer by decomposing blue trigram. It may drop in dungeons as well.

7. If you cannot find the quest location on the ground in the map. Check the sky.

8. If it’s not too difficult to fight with monsters, fight with them and put the equips aside.

9. You can get equips and materials by roulette.

10. You can buy items and materials for quests in auction house. However, you have to pay a fee no matter you buy or sell items.

11. Dungeons, especially huge dungeons in late game are very important to the cooperation of the team. Be patient. Experience is accumulated by numerous deaths. Suppress skills should be used in proper situation. I suggest you to read the strategies.

12. The number of Blade Master should be the biggest in Blade & Soul. Think carefully when you choose a profession. If there are too many players, it’s not easy to group a team.

13. You can only use the auction house and email after you finish quests in level 15.

14. Do not peruse critical hit blindly when select Bo-pae and accessory. Though stacking critical hit can make it a lot easier for you to deal damage, it isn’t suitable for instance.

15. Try to finish the faction mission every day as you can get quite good equips later.
